About This Project

Renovation of a 1200 sqm warehouse to a modern athletic centre.

The building structural frame consist of a combination of masonry wall and reinforced concrete members. The structural design provides the basic technical guidelines for the seismic upgrade of the building, considering in advance that the study of existing static adequacy, by introducing modern seismic data for a building built in the 50’s, will fail. Therefore the main upgrade works implemented consistof :

-Reinforcement additions of the building at specific locations

-Connection of new elements with the existing or new foundation area.

-Local cross section member strength increase in specific areas that may be necessary.
