About This Project

In the New Doha Orbital Road area and next to the Hamad New Port South Access Road a Waterfront Feature will be constructed. The Feature defines the form and motion which makes a ‘cargo container ship’ appears moving inward and outwards the Hamad New Port.
The ‘cargo container ship’ is structurally constructed of reinforced concrete.
A steel structure representing containers will be constructed in the interior part of the ‘cargo container ship’ with steel hollow members for the structural component.
The whole feature will lie on a concrete basin slab which will be founded on a fill 1,3m above the ground surface.
The shape of the feature will be trapezoidal diamond with maximum dimensions 115m x 34m covering a 2.580m2 total surface area.
